While following up on an Industry Sheriff’s Station-area theft investigation, team members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Industrial Plastic Theft Task Force working out of Industry Station, located over $2 million-worth of stolen trademark plastic products and more than 500 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, valued at approximately $120,000.

The plastic products consist of thousands of commercial pallets, crates, baskets, and trays. Approximately half of these items –including 6,000 of the pallets which are valued at $100 each- are property of the United States Postal Service and were taken without permission.

The discovery was made at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, October 10, 2011, when members of the task force conducted a Business and Professions Code Compliance check.

As a result of the investigation, four male adults, all residents of Los Angeles County, were arrested at the location for violations of Receiving Stolen Property, Cultivation of Marijuana, and Illegal Possession of Trademark Plastic Products.
