Incident: DUI, Vehicle Pursuit, Driving while unlicensed
Suspect: Jose Manuel Hernandez, 55 year old, Novato resident
Location: Lakeville Street at US 101
Summary: On the listed date and time, a Petaluma Police Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, suspect Hernandez appeared to be intoxicated and the officer requested some equipment to conduct a DUI investigation. During the traffic stop, suspect Hernandez started his vehicle and accelerated away from the officer. The officer chased the suspect vehicle with his vehicle. The pursuit continued for approx. 2 miles at a low speed. The vehicle eventually stopped on Petaluma Blvd South. The officer completed a DUI investigation and Hernandez was arrested for DUI, Driving while unlicensed and Failing to yield to the police officer. Hernandez was transported to County Jail.
