On Wednesday 9/28/11 at approximately 3:27AM, the Walnut Creek Police responded to a reported armed robbery that just occurred at the Valero gas station located at 605 Ygnacio Valley Road.

Six subjects wearing various masks and/or hoods entered the business armed with various handguns and long guns. The suspects stole cash and various items from the store. As the suspects left, one of them fired his weapon in the direction of a lone customer who was pumping gas. The suspects then fled to a dark colored VW that was parked in the DMV lot to the south. That vehicle was last seen westbound on Ygnacio Valley Road. The customer who had been shot at left the scene but was located uninjured a short time later. The MO and appearance are similar to an armed robbery at a 7-11 in Pleasant Hill on 9/27/11 at 2:48AM. (PHPD case 11-3608). There were no injuries.
