We are requesting a moment of silence at 8:59am as a tribute to all those that lost their lives on 9/11/01
With this being the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attack on America, it occurred to us that some special remembrance was in order. At 0959 Eastern (so 0859 here in Wisconsin) – the time most closely associated with the collapse of the first tower at the World Trade Centers – we have asked that all public safety agencies sound an alert tone and request a moment of silence in memory of the brave people who lost their lives that day. The Wood County Dispatch Center will sound a tone on our main channels and give this message:
