PERTH AMBOY, NJ-- The City of Perth Amboy and the Office of Emergency Management announces the preparation for Hurricane Irene and its potential impact. The National Weather Service expects the greatest storm impact to take place in our area on Sunday, August 28, 2011 with storm effects throughout the weekend.
Governor Chris Christie has declared a State of Emergency for anticipation of Hurricane Irene. At this time, in Perth Amboy there is no call for any evacuation. Please see the guidelines and preparation tips below.
