Jackson Police Issue warrants for a suspect in a series of North Jackson Thefts

WARRANTS ISSUED IN NORTH JACKSON THEFTS
Jackson Police have issued warrants for the arrest on a suspect in a series of North Jackson thefts.
Andrew Hearn, 33, of 1403 Tumberland, Apt. 1, Memphis, Tennessee is being charged with 4 counts of criminal trespassing, 3 counts of theft of property, 2 counts of identity theft, 2 counts of forgery and one count of assault. Hearn is currently in custody in Bartlett, Tennessee and will be returned to Jackson at a later date to be arraigned.
On 8-15-2011 a suspect was observed, by a bank employee, at the Bank of Jackson, 420 Oil Well Road, attempting to steal an employee’s purse. Surveillance footage of the suspect was broadcast on local media and based on the information received; Andrew Hearn was identified as the suspect. Hearn was also identified in similar cases at three other locations in Jackson, two of which occurred on the same day and one that occurred on 03-11-2011.
Once again, a crime as been solved because a concerned citizen took the time to call police after seeing suspicious activity.
The investigation is ongoing and Investigators are attempting to determine if the suspect is involved in additional thefts in the area.
