B&A Trail Robberies

The Anne Arundel County Police are currently investigating two robberies on the B&A Trail in the area of Aquahart Road. The robberies are occurring late at night (approximately midnight) and seem to be targeting individuals walking on the trail. The suspect in both robberies is describes as a black male, short build, blue shirt, and carrying some type of book bag or backpack. In both of these robberies a weapon (gun) was implied but the victims did not see any weapons.

The Anne Arundel County would like to take this opportunity to review some basic safety tips:

1. Don’t walk the trail alone, especially after dark
2. Always be aware of your surroundings
3. Walk with a purpose (with confidence)
4. Always carry a cell phone
5. Report suspicious activity/people
