On Friday, July 22, 2011, adjacent to Alondra Park Golf Course, 16400 S. Prairie Ave., Lawndale, CA 90260, Parks Bureau Special Problems Team Deputies arrested a man for Grand Theft, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possession of a Firearm with the Serial Number Removed, and Possession of Stolen Property.

The Deputies conducted a grand theft operation using a golf bag and golf clubs valued over $1,000 as bait. Deputies working in a undercover capacity saw the suspect steal the golf bag and clubs from one of the undercover vehicles. Deputies followed him into his residence located in Lawndale, adjacent to the Golf Course, arrested him for this theft, and recovered the stolen golf bag and clubs.

While inside the suspect's home deputies smelled a strong odor of Marijuana emitting from the suspect's bedroom. After further investigation deputies discovered approximately 5 pounds of Marijuana inside of five clear plastic bags, a nine millimeter hand gun with the serial number removed, digital scales and over $2,000 in U.S. Currency, all which are commonly used in the sales of Marijuana.

The suspect Joe Albert Wolfe, Male, White, thirty-nine years-of-age is a resident of Lawndale, was arrested for Grand Theft, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possession of a Firearm with the Serial Number Removed, and Possession of Stolen Property. He was booked at Lennox Sheriff's Station and is being held in lieu of $70,000 bail.
