May 22, 2011- BLRPD officers are currently investigating an attempted diversion burglary that occurred on Werly Rd. in Upper Macungie Township on Friday, May 20th. According to the elderly homeowners, a white car entered their driveway and a white male in his mid-40's exited the vehicle. This male, who spoke with a slight accent, advised he needed to see the homeowner's property lines in reference to some tree trimming. He then led the couple to the far rear of the property, while another subject entered the home and rummaged one of the bedrooms.

It is possible that the suspects involved may be considered "transient criminals" as referenced in a previous Nixle alert. If so, it is possible these suspects may attempt to strike again in the Upper Macungie and surrounding communities area.

Please be sure to contact police if these suspects are seen or appear at your home. If possible, please document suspect and vehicle descriptions, as well as license plate state and numbers.
