The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station's Traffic Office is investigating a serious traffic collision that occurred this afternoon at McBean Parkway and Summerhill Lane, Santa Clarita.

Deputies responded to the area regarding a two vehicle traffic collision. The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a black 1999 Mercedes-Benz, Davida Sullivan, F/30, of Valencia was traveling southbound on McBean Parkway and was making a left turn into the Ralphs Shopping Center. A second vehicle, silver 2009 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by James Blake, M/35, of Valencia was traveling northbound on Mcbean Parkway. The Mercedes turned left in front of the Silverado and they collided.

Both parties were treated at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Both drivers were transported to Henry Mayo Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Mercedes is listed in critical condition. The driver of the Silverado suffered minor injuries.
