Full Notification

On May 8, 2011 Dallas Police Department received a 911 call at approx 12:30pm regarding a disturbance at 6417 Ridgecrest Dr. Officers responding located the individual referenced in the call and made contact with him. During the encounter, arrestee Oscar C. Spicer, attempted to take the duty weapon from Officer M. Wagner. The 2nd officer, Officer M. Mosher fearing for his and his partner's safety, shot the arrestee. Arrestee Spicer was transported to Baylor Hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery. Neither officer was injured in the altercation. An investigation into the incident by the Dept's Special Investigations Unit is ongoing at this time.
