Unused or expired prescription medication drop off day on Saturday at UMPD and Giant Supermarket between 10a-2p. 
Drug Drop Off
On Saturday, 30 April 2011 between the hours of 10am and 2pm, citizens can drop off unused or expired prescription medication to the police for destruction. Officers will be at the Giant Supermarket on York Road in Willow Grove and at the Police Station on Park Avenue at Easton Road to collect the medications.
The non-medical use of prescription drugs is the second most common form of drug abuse in America. The majority of teenagers abusing prescription drugs get them from family and friends and from their own home medicine cabinet.
Unused prescription drugs thrown in the trash can be retrieved and abused or illegally sold. Unused drugs that are flushed contaminate the water supply. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment.
