In addition to calling in, texting, or submitting online tips, Android phone users can now take advantage of the free Tip Submit app. The recently released app allows users to anonymously submit tips to law enforcement to help solve and prevent crime via their Android phone.

The app improves upon the already available text-a-tip option because it allows users to attach pictures or video to their tip and it can also locate and direct the tip to the nearest law enforcement agency through GPS if the user chooses not to select an agency manually.
The app also provides the opportunity to engage in real time, two way dialogue with the receiving agency while still remaining anonymous.

The app is a free download and there is no charge to the public for its use. As with any other method used to submit a tip to Crimeline, users can always remain anonymous and could receive an award of up to $1,000.
