LAPD still seeking information on fatal hit and run accident

Valley Traffic Division detectives are still seeking the public's help regarding information on a fatal hit and run incident.

On April 20, 2011 at approximately 9 pm, two 17 year old males were riding their bicycles northbound De Soto Avenue near Valerio Street in Canoga Park. A Toyota Corolla travelling northbound De Soto Ave at a high rate of speed struck the rear of one of the cyclists, killing him instantly. The vehicle fled the scene, with the driver failing to stop or render aid.

The vehicle is further described as a 2003-2004 silver or metallic grey Toyota Corolla, with the right side mirror and front emblem missing, and possible damage to the hood and right side of the windshield.
