• Within the past week, BLRPD officers have been contacted by numerous residents regarding magazine solicitors from the Second Chance organization. This notice is to advise residents that these and other solicitors are in the area, and that they do have the legal right to conduct this type of business. I do recommend that all residents use good judgment when choosing to allow people they do not know or associate with into their homes. I cannot vouch for the validity of any of these businesses or their business practices. BLRPD officers will conduct security checks on these individuals, or any other individuals, whose behavior or actions are considered suspicious, if requested to do so by a resident.
