Oklahoma County Burn Ban Extended.

(Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) Oklahoma County Commissioners approved extending the burn ban through May 11, 2011. The ban prohibits any outdoor burning, but does allow for cooking outdoors with caution. Some municipalities within Oklahoma County have placed additional restrictions on outdoor cooking so check with your city on those restrictions.

Anyone found violating the burn ban can face a maximum penalty of up to one year in jail and a $500.00 fine, or both.
