Watch out for springtime flooding in low-lying areas.

Snowmelt and spring rains are causing creeks, streams and rivers to run high in the Midland area. Please watch out for water over streets and roadways, and don't attempt to cross flooded areas. The National Weather Service is predicting that the Tittabawassee River will crest below flood stage on Tuesday afternoon, however they predict there will be over-bank flooding in low-lying areas that typically experience it in the spring. Be careful traveling in areas near creeks, streams and rivers in the coming days and watch for the potential of some low-lying streets to be closed temporarily.
