Bay City Police Investigate Gas Station Robbery

On Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at approximately 11:38 p.m., Bay County Central Dispatch sent officers from the Bay City Police Department to the Speedway gas station located at 3780 E. Wilder Road on Bay City’s west side for a report of an armed robbery. Officers were advised that the suspect displayed a handgun during the robbery.

No one was injured during the incident and the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Responding officers searched the area with assistance from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and a canine unit from the Michigan State Police. The suspect was not located at this time. An undetermined amount of money was stolen from the business.

The suspect was described as follows:

- White male, medium build
- Approximately 5’11” tall
- Age: Approximately 25-35 years old
- Clothing: Light blue jeans, black puffy winter coat, black ski mask, black gloves, tennis shoes
