BOSTIK MIDDLETON ESTABLISHES CALL NUMBER FOR MAKING CLAIMS
MIDDLETON, MASS- USA, March 17, 2011 – Bostik Inc. announced today it has established a toll-free telephone number for property owners within the vicinity of its Middleton, MA facility to call to report potential damage resulting from the March 13 incident at the plant that included an explosion and fire. The number area residents and property owners are to call is: 1-866-242-1802.
The company has stated it is focusing on four priorities: its employees, its neighbors, its customers, and continuing to provide its full cooperation to the incident’s investigation.
“Getting information out in a timely way and making it easier for people with concerns to contact us directly is part of our current focus. If people have a claim or any concern, we want to know sooner than later so that we can address it,” said Bill Campbell, President and CEO of Bostik, Inc. “We are planning more direct communications with our neighbors, who we know have a whole range of questions and concerns. In the meantime, we are continuing to issue statements as information becomes available.”
Bostik’s production facilities remain closed down until the incident investigation is complete. The investigation into the cause of the incident continues and access to portions of the plant remains restricted. Bostik personnel continue to fully cooperate with all of the various governmental and agency personnel who are collaborating to investigate the cause of the incident. There are no known environmental concerns resulting from event.
