THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL GEORGIA AND
NORTHEAST GEORGIA.

* THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON

* VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL DEVELOP TONIGHT AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING
COLD FRONT. RAINFALL TOTALS OF AROUND 3 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED
HIGHER AMOUNTS...ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE NORTHEAST GEORGIA
MOUNTAINS. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED DURING THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS ON SUNDAY.

* RIVERS...CREEKS...AND STREAMS ACROSS NORTHEAST GEORGIA WILL RISE
OVERNIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY. MANY CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL
APPROACH BANKFULL...AND SOME MAY REACH FLOOD STAGE EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING AS THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL MOVES THROUGH. LARGER RIVERS
MAY APPROACH AND POSSIBLY REACH FLOOD STAGE LATER IN THE DAY ON
SUNDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOOD
WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
