The Anacortes Police Department announces the retirement of Sgt. Wayne Korterud, who is completing his 34-year career today.
Over the course of his career, Sgt. Korterud has worked in the Patrol Division and Investigations. He also spent a number of years assigned to the regional undercover drug task force. As a supervisor, he was in charge of the Anacortes Marine Patrol, patrol shifts and served as the Detective Sergeant.
The Anacortes Police Department would like to say thank you to Sgt. Korterud for his 34 years of service. We wish him the best in retirement.
