Bay City Man Arrested for Robbery

On 2/18/11 (Friday) at approximately 2:30 p.m., detectives from the Bay City Police Department arrested a man in connection to three robberies of local businesses.

The 25 old man, a resident of Bay City was arrested at his home in the 1600 block of 3rd Street without incident. The arrest comes as the result of an investigation that included a search warrant being executed on the man’s home.

The robberies include the Ideal Party Store (908 N. Johnson St.), which occurred on June 9th (2010) and again on November 6th (2010). Also the November 15th (2010) robbery of the Marathon Gas Station (2024 Center Ave).

The man is being held on three arrest warrants which were prepared by the Bay County Prosecutor's Office and signed by Bay County Magistrate Shirley Beeman.

The man was lodged in the Bay County Jail and is charged with a total of 4 counts of Robbery - Armed, 3 counts of Robbery - Unarmed and one count of Felony Firearm.

The suspect's bond was set at $750,000.00 - an arraignment date has not been set.
