Attempted child luring incident. Please read email notification for full details.

On Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 at approximately 0750 hrs. an attempted child luring occurred in the City of McKeesport.  Two students, ages seven and nine, were walking to school when they were approached by a silver vehicle with a yellow roof and dirty chrome wheels.  The vehicle pulled up to them while walking in the Douglass Street area of McKeesport.  The driver of the vehicle then wound down his window and told the two children that he had money and wanted to know if they wanted to go to the store with him.  The children told the male no.  The vehicle then began to follow them and the children then began to run to school which was approximately two blocks away.  Both children made it into school safely and reported the incident to school personnel, who then contacted the Police Department.  The driver of the vehicle is described as a light skinned black male with a goatee type beard possibly 30 to 40 years old.  The male was possibly wearing a blue and gray shirt.  McKeesport Police are actively searching for this vehicle.  Anybody with any information on this vehicle or suspect please contact the McKeesport Police Department at (412) 675-5015 or call 911.
