ICE STORM WARNING!!!!
The major risk for this event remains icing. Berks County is slated for approx. ½” of ice accumulation from tonight through Wed. Northern parts of the county could see higher accumulations up to 3/4", which will include Lehigh County.

Historical analysis of storms over the last 10 years that produced ½” – 1” of ice show that the biggest risk is widespread power outages impacting large numbers of residents. These outages have been in the 2-4 day duration in the past.

The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police are asking citizens to please use good judgement when it comes to driving.

Please keep up to date with the weather and roadway conditions before venturing outside. Emergency Responders and other services will have an overwhelming task during this ice event. We are all hoping temperatures will rise but the latest report indicates there will be no change over to rain. This will be an all ice event for Northern Berks County and Lehigh County.
