Location: 4700 block Central Ave., Fremont

On January 25,.2011 at about 1045 AM, Officers responded to an address on Central Ave to investigate the report of a dead body. The deceased, a 58 yr old male, was located in the home by an acquaintance who contacted police. The body was taken into custody by the Alameda County Coroners Office.

On January 26, The Coroner’s Office advised Fremont Police Detectives that the death was most likely a homicide.

Investigation into the incident identified a male (Bryan Le, 45 yrs) as a “person of interest.” Investigators were also unable to locate the victim’s vehicle at the residence. The vehicle was entered into the California SVS system as a “missing vehicle from a homicide.”

At just after midnight this morning, Le was pulled over (in the victim’s vehicle) by Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies and the CHP, SB Hwy 101 at the Main St. off ramp in Salinas. During the stop Le shot himself in the chest before being taken into custody.

Le is expected to survive, and is currently being held on a no-bail warrant from an un-related incident.
