Carjacking on Southside

On January 23rd, 2011 at 12:50PM an employee of CoGo’s located in the 2400 block of E. Carson reported to Zone 3 Officers that he was carjacked by two actors, one black and one while male, while transporting bank receipts for deposit to the First Niagara Bank in Mt. Washington.

The victim reported that while stopped at 12th and Brosville Streets the actors stepped from the curb, opened the door to his vehicle and ordered him (victim) out at gunpoint. The victim reported that the blue bank bag carrying the receipts was on the floor of the vehicle.

The actors fled on the victim’s vehicle heading towards Warrington Ave. The vehicle is described as a 2004 white Chevy Tahoe bearing PA registration GYY-4538. The actors were described as a black male and white male with a scruffy beard. Both actors are reported wearing dark clothing and carrying a black pistol.

The CoGo’s manager was apprised of the Robbery. The actors fled with an undisclosed amount of US Currency and coins. No arrests made at this time and no one was injured.
