Update: Steelers AFC Victory Events

On January 23, 2011 the following events took place before and after the AFC Championship Game.

Zone 1 The following arrests resulted: Commander Brackney reported that there was an arrest for car break-ins. Additionally, 6 citations were written for scalping. One physical arrest was also made at the beginning of the evening at Gate C for drug possession.

Zone 2 No incidents reported

Zone 3 The following incidents occurred: Crowds Failing to Disperse causing traffic jams; Incidents were quickly resolved by PBP.

Zone 4 Acting Commander Riley reported that the activity in Oakland was consistent with normal weekend activity. No incidents to report.

Zone 5 300 block of Pear Street disorderly crowd. Upon police arrival activity had ceased and no police action was required.

Zone 6 Disorderly crowd (fight) at Pioneer and Brookline Blvd. Incidents were quickly resolved by PBP.

Arrests: Six (6) Citations for Scalping; one (1) on-view arrest for Disorderly Conduct’; One (1) arrest (Pre-game Gate C) for drug possession.

Any additional arrests will be provided as obtained from the Warrant Office after all paperwork is processed.

The PBP would like to thank the Steelers fans for peacefully celebrating the AFC Championship victory. We hope to celebrate a Super Bowl victory in a similar manner that demonstrates respect for our TEAM and our City.

UPDATE: Last night we had a total of 12 arrests, 4 summons and 11 citations for the warrant office stats. Charges consist of various violations including public drunkenness, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct etc.
