On Tues. Jan. 18th at approx. 9:35am, Fremont Police responded to the US Bank located at Fremont Bl. and Beacon St. for a robbery alarm. Responding units observed a possible suspect vehicle leaving the area and attempted to stop the suspect vehicle at Fremont and Mowry Ave. The suspect vehicle accelerated and attempted to evade pursuing officers. The pursuit travelled N/B Hwy 880 and into Union City. The suspect vehicle then traversed Union City and continued N/B Mission Blvd. into Hayward's jurisdiction. Several Fremont Patrol units were involved as well as officers from Union City and Hayward PD. The suspect vehicle crashed in Hayward in the area of Mission Blvd. and Industrial Blvd. Two suspects were immediately taken into custody and one suspect fled from the scene and into a residential neighborhood. The outstanding suspect was arrested approx. 20 mins later hiding in the neighborhood.

The suspect vehicle crash was a solo accident involving just the suspect vehicle.

Detectives are actively interviewing witnesses and questioning the three suspects that are currently in custody. There were no injuries to any officers, citizens, or the suspects.

Personnel from Fremont PD, Union City PD, Hayward PD, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, and the Highway Patrol assisted in the suspects apprehension.
