Officer Merrill arrested a 19-year-old female for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Officer Geibig arrested a 25-year-old male for false information to a police officer and driving without a license.

Officer Geibig attempted to stop a male on a bicycle in the area of Converse/Gatewood. The male, described as a Hispanic male adult with a goatee wearing a blue jacket and jeans, refused to stop and was last seen east bound on Converse. A perimeter was set and a search ensured; however, the male was not located. The incident was managed by Sergeant Griese.

Officers dispatched to a 246 where the victim was driving near Mission Blvd and Hwy 680 north when her window was shot out. Officers flood the area and find a witness on Mill Creek Rd who heard shots coming from up the hill just prior to the victim’s call. East Bay Regional’s helicopter arrives and locates three vehicles and six persons near 5003 Sheridan Rd. Contact is eventually made with these persons and it is quickly determined that they were the ones shooting rifles earlier. It appears likely one of their stray rounds was responsible for the victim’s window.

While the investigation is going on, a pit bull secured in one of the suspect’s trucks escapes and charges several officers and a K-9. Sergeant Epps is forced to shoot and kill the dog as a result. No persons were hurt and no buildings were hit. Multiple rifles and shotguns seized and complaint being sought on four of the suspects. Level 1 and Level 2 reductions during event.
