Police Blotter items
Officer Laing conducted a warrant service at Motel 6 north. He arrested a 30 yr old male for two outstanding warrants.
Two males attempted to use fake credit cards at Walmart on Osgood. The cards were declined, and the males left the store, activating the alarms as they walked out. Officer Clark and Officer K. Lawrence spotted the vehicle on Auto Mall, and made the stop. They contacted two male subjects arresting one for petty theft with a prior.
An employee from the AT&T store phoned to report a theft that had just occurred. The suspect apparently shopped around the store, and when the clerk was distracted, grabbed an IPhone and ran. The clerk activated the phone’s GPS system and directed officers to the FoodMaxx lot. Officer Contrada spotted the suspect and chased him into a restaurant. Officer Contrada detained the male inside with the assistance of a citizen. Officer F. Smith investigated, and a 20yr old male was eventually arrested for burglary. As of the time of this writing, the phone hadn’t been recovered. The GPS showed that it was still in the vicinity of Panda Express. Officers did a thorough search of the restaurant and surrounding areas, but the phone was not located.
