Advisory

NWS issues winter weather advisory for Carroll County. 3-5 inches expected Monday night through Tuesday.

Snow will overspread the region from the southwest late tonight into Tuesday morning. The snow will continue into Tuesday afternoon before tapering off to scattered snow showers Tuesday night. Snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches will be possible by Tuesday evening.


Of interest, but not directly affecting us in Carroll County, weather over the weekend was extreme:

South Bend was hit the hardest. According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, a record snowfall of 26.0” inches in one day was set, breaking the previous record of 20.0” set on January 30, 1909. Also, a two day record snowfall of 36.6” was set in South Bend over this weekend. This break the previous record of 29.0” set back in 1909.
