Ofc. P. Mayo arrests two thirty-something females out of Kohl's for shoplifting.
Fremont Fire responded to a structure fire at a small apartment complex on Logan St. at Mattos. A neighbor noticed smoke, went in and rescued a 62 year-old male from inside. Firefighters arrived and pulled out an 81 year-old female suffering from severe burns and smoke inhalation. The fire destroyed the ground-level apartment and the one above it.
Officers respond to 46132 Warm Springs Blvd regarding a VC 20001 (felony hit and run). Ofc. B. Loughery arrives on scene and provides a description of the suspect vehicle. Further investigation reveals that the suspect vehicle left behind the front license plate. Ofc. C. Perry locates the occupied suspect vehicle mid-block on Old Warm Springs Blvd. The driver, a juvenile male, calls mom and states that he was involved in a vehicle accident. Mom arrives on-scene and son is issued a Notice to Appear for felony hit & run. Victim driver is transported to WTH for internal injuries.
