A Flood Watch is in effect for the Monongahela River thru Thursday afternoon.

National Weather Service Pittsburgh has issued a Flood Watch for the Monongahela River until Thursday afternoon.

A storm system will bring heavy rains to the area today
and tonight. The potential exists for widespread rainfall
amounts of 1.25 to 2.50 inches.

The heavy rainfall will cause rises in streams and creeks
and result in the potential for flooding Tuesday
afternoon through Thursday morning.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding
based on current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for
possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to
flooding should be prepared to take action should
flooding develop.
