*Burglary Updates*

Earlier this week, the Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department reported two burglaries that occurred in the Upper Macungie area. We now have added information to share with you, as well as information regarding other burglaries in the area.

On November 17th, BLRPD units reposed to a burglary alarm at a home in the 5000 block of Cetronia Rd. Units arrived in 9 minutes and found a screen door to the rear of the home to be cut and removed. It is believed that the alarm scared off the suspects, and therefore, entry was never made into the home.

On the same day, a homeowner in the 500 block of Grange Rd. came home around 7:00 pm to find his front window smashed. In this case, the suspect(s) entered the home through this window and took jewelry and coins.

Also on November 17th, a homeowner in the 5700 block of Meadow Drive reported that a suspect(s) had entered his home through an unlocked rear first floor window and had stolen jewelry.

On November 18, a homeowner in the 1700 block of Laurel Lane reported finding a rear door pryed open, and his bedroom disturbed (items ransacked). At this time it appears that nothing was taken from this home.
BLRPD units also responded to 2 business burglaries that were reported on November 18th in the Tilghman St. area.

Although these cases are all still under investigation, it is possible that the residential burglaries are related. Please speak to your neighbors about these crimes and encourage others to register on Nixle so that accurate information is spread through the community. Report any and all suspicious activity to police immediately at 610-437-5252. Thank you.
