Justin Gray to be Tried as an Adult in Troy Mitchell Homicide
Following a transfer hearing today in Madison County Juvenile Court, Judge Christy Little ordered that Justin Gray, 16, be tried as an adult and ordered that he be held with no bond. He will be transferred from the Madison County Juvenile Detention Center to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex.

Gray and Ameale Hudson, 24, are charged with First Degree
Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery in the October 28, 2009, murder of Troy Gary Mitchell, 44, of Medon.
There was a preliminary hearing in Jackson City Court on
December 3 where Hudson faced charges. The judge determined that there was sufficient probable cause. Hudson continues to be held with no bond.
The grand jury will now hear the evidence against Hudson and Gray.

Mitchell was a locksmith who was shot and killed during a robbery at 1170 Hollywood Boulevard (Guardian Courts). The investigation has shown that Hudson provided a then 15-year-old Gray with the gun. Subsequently, Gray shot and robbed Mitchell.
