THE OAK RIDGE NORTH POLICE DEPARTMENT CRIME ACTIVITY REPORT
On 11-09-2010 at approx. 1143 hrs, MCSO dispatch aired an ATL on a green Toyota Tundra that had left the scene of an attempted murder at the Woodwind Village Apartments located at 26001 Budde Rd # 2004, Spring Texas. Dispatch advised that the driver of the Tundra was possibly headed to his mother's house at an unknown address near Chateau Woods. The driver of the Tundra was possibly armed with a knife and possibly had a shot gun in his truck. The driver had stabbed the victim in the throat. Once this ATL was aired I headed to the area of Sleepy Hollow and Old Main St. to attempt to locate the actor vehicle. When I turned east onto Sleepy Hollow I observed what appeared to be a green truck also traveling east on Sleepy Hollow. The truck was probably 400-500 feet ahead of me. I sped up to get the license plate that was displayed on the rear of the truck. Once close enough to the truck I was able to identify the truck as a green Toyota Tundra bearing TXLP# AK79145. I advised MCSO dispatch that I may be behind the ATL vehicle and I was east bound on Sleepy Hollow. The LP return on the vehicle came back to a Lance D. Rudel 10550 Longleaf Conroe, TX. 77385. The truck then turned south on to Youpon from Sleepy Hollow. As we were traveling south on Youpon Oak Ridge North P.D. Sgt. Libby turned onto Youpon northbound from Chateau Woods Pkwy. Sgt. Libby and I conducted a stop on the vehicle and detained the driver of the vehicle. After this subject was detained I conducted a pat down of his person and found a folding pocket knife in his front left pocket. The knife had a black plastic handle and it also had a skinning hook on the backside of the knife. I replaced this knife in a paper bag to give to the MCSO deputy that was working the original aggravated assault call. The subject that I had detained identified himself as Lance Rudel. A few minutes late Montgomery County S.O. Sgt. J. Moore arrived on the scene and took custody of the Rudel subject. A shotgun was found laying on the back seat of the vehicle.
On 11/09/10 at approximately 1130 hours I Sr. Officer Nation was notified by DPS Houston in reference to a warrant confirmation on Angela Yvonne McKnight b/f, dob xxxxxx/76. The following two active Capias Pro Fine Warrants were confirmed on Ms. McKnight: Driving While License Invalid and Defective Tail Lamps for a total of $413.00. DPS Houston advised me that Trooper Coleman unit #2816 was conducting a traffic stop and Ms. McKnight was the driver/violator. Trooper Coleman advised me that she would transport Ms. McKnight to FM 1960 at IH45N and release her to my custody. Trooper Coleman related that the subject was dressed only in a short t-shirt with no other clothing. At approximately 1159 hours I made contact with Trooper Coleman and Ms. McKnight in the South East parking lot of FM1960 at IH45N. Trooper McKnight drove into the parking lot conducting a traffic stop on a black and white Ford Crown Vic. occupied by two white males. Trooper Coleman advised me that the vehicle had red and blue strobe lights and the driver appeared to be too young to be a Police Officer. Trooper Coleman released Ms. McKnight to my custody. I then stood by and assisted Trooper Coleman with her traffic stop. After Trooper Coleman cleared her stop, she provided Ms. McKnight with an old DPS rain jacket to decently cover her. I transported Ms. McKnight to the Oak Ridge North Municipal Court. Ms. McKnight advised that she would attempt to pay her fines in lieu of going to jail. At the court Ms. Coleman made several calls to friends and family members and was not able to raise the money needed to release her. I transported Ms. McKnight to the Montgomery County Jail. At the Jail she was booked in without incident.
