ARRESTS IN HAWTHORNE ST. BURGLARY
Jackson Police have arrested Tony Wayne Andrews, 20, who resides at 226 Allen Ave., Jackson and Justin Terrell Dozier, 24, 141 Allenton Heights, Jackson and charged them with Aggravated Burglary and Theft of Property Over $1,000. Andrews and Dozier are both being held in the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex in lieu of
$10,000 bond each. A juvenile has also been charged in the burglary and theft and is being held at the Madison Juvenile Detention center pending the charges.

On 12-7-2009 Sgt. Phillip Stanfill was in the area of Cedar and Linden St., when he observed 3 subjects running down the road carrying long guns and laptop computers. Sgt. Stanfill alertly knew something was wrong and stopped the subjects and detained them
until other officers arrived to assist. While the suspects were being detained a homeowner on Hawthorne St. arrived home to find his door kicked in and guns and computers taken.

Officers were able to recover some of the victim’s property that the suspects were carrying and other property that they had hidden in the area.
Investigation is continuing.

ARRESTS IN CLAIRPIOINTE AND HARTSFIELD DRIVE BURGLARIES
Jackson Police have arrested 3 juveniles and charged them with 2 counts of aggravated burglary and theft of property over $500 each. All three juveniles have been released to their parents while the charges are pending.
On 12-01-09 a victim reported that his home on Hartsfield Drive and been burglarized and a handgun, computer and other items had been taken.

The next day the victim was at home and observed a vehicle in the area that did not seem to belong. The victim began watching the vehicle and noticed one of
the subjects leave the car and check the door to a residence on his street. The victim was able to obtain a description of the suspects and a tag number for the
car.

On 12-04-09 the victim again observed the suspicious vehicle in the area of his home again and called police. Officers arrived and attempted to stop the vehicle
but the suspects fled and refused to stop for police.
Investigators were able to identify the vehicle and locate the suspects later that night. Some property from both of the burglaries has been recovered. Investigation is ongoing and Investigators anticipate additional arrests as the case develops.
Once again, alert citizens reporting suspicious activity in their neighborhoods helped police apprehend burglars. Keep up the good work!!!
