An ambitious thief made two robbery attempts Monday at two La Mirada businesses.

His first stop was at 1:30 PM, at a CVS drugstore, and the second was less than an hour later, at 2:05 PM, down the road at a Baskin Robbins ice cream shop. At both locations, the suspect presented a demand note to the clerk, threatening injury.

The CVS drugstore is in the 13500 block of Beach Boulevard, La Mirada.

The Baskin Robbins ice cream shop is in the 14700 block of Beach Boulevard, La Mirada.

The suspect is believed to be involved in nine incidents, occurring between Thursday, October 28, 2010, and Monday, November 1, 2010, in the cities of La Habra, Buena Park, Long Beach, Signal Hill, and Anaheim.

The suspect is described as a male White or Hispanic/30-40 years old, 5'4"-5'7"/200 pounds, wearing a red shirt, dark shorts, white socks, black shoes, red hat, sunglasses.
