Wire Thefts from Light Standards Crime Series
Since August 20, 2010, unknown suspects have cut and removed the copper wire from the underground power boxes of several light poles at parks in Tustin. The loss to the city is over $15,000.00.
We are asking for the public’s help by calling Tustin Police to report any suspicious activity observed in the City parks,specifically for the following circumstances:
• Subjects working near light standards. These subjects may be appear to be part of a work crew, wear orange vests or have work truck parked nearby with traffic cones set out.
• Lights which are not working or turned off.
