ARRESTS IN STRATFORD LANE BURGLARY
Jackson Police have charged Kenneth Dunlap, age 18 of Sweetbay Drive, and Xavier Thompson, age 18 of Betty Manley Rd. in Denmark with Aggravated Burglary and Theft of Property Over $1,000. Dunlap is being held in the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex in lieu of $30,000 bond. Thompson has been released on a $10,000 bond. A juvenile has also been charged in the burglary
and theft and is being held at the Madison Juvenile Detention center pending the charges.

On 11-13-2009 the Madison County Sheriff’s department responded to a burglary in progress on Beinville Dr. Officers were able to locate Dunlap and Thompson
in the area and arrested them for the burglary in the county.

Investigators with the Jackson Police Department were able to determine that a burglary had been committed during the same time period on Stratford Lane.
Property was located in the suspect’s vehicle that had been taken from the home on Stratford Lane. nvestigators were able to identify Washington and a juvenile suspect.

Some of the stolen merchandise has been recovered and is being returned to the victim.

ARRESTS IN CAMPBELL ST. AREA BURGLARIES
Jackson Police have arrested two juveniles, ages 17 and 16, and charged them with five counts of Aggravated Burglary and Theft in connection with a series of
burglaries in the Campbell, Ridgedale Overhill area. The cases are pending and will be heard in the Madison County Juvenile Court in the near future.

Investigators continue to work the cases and additional charges and suspects are possible as the cases continue to develop.

Over the last several weeks there have been a number of residential and vehicle burglaries reported in the neighborhoods off of Campbell St. north of North
Parkway.

The arrests came following a report from a citizen of a possible burglary in progress on Golden Oak Cove on November 11, 2009. Responding Officers chased the suspects down when they fled from the residence.

Over the next several days, Investigators obtained and compared forensic evidence and conducted interviews and searches of the suspect’s homes where they were able
to recover victim’s property and evidence from the burglaries that connected the two to four additional burglaries in the same area.

There is no greater deterrent to crime than an informed and involved citizenry that watches out for their neighbors. Report suspicious activity in your
neighborhood to the Police. There is no one who knows better when something or someone is out of place in your neighborhood than you do!
