Suspect Robs Four People Early This Morning

Police are looking for a suspect they believe used a handgun and a knife to rob four separate people early this morning.

Officers were first alerted to the robberies this morning, June 20, 2009, just after 7:00 am when they received their first 9-1-1 call from a 54-year-old female who was out for a morning walk on Creekwood Avenue. She reported a black male used a handgun and demanded money. The woman did not have any with her and the suspect hit her in the face. He then fled in a small green car.

Two more victims also reported being robbed by a black male near that location around the same time. A 57-year-old female reported a black male approached her with a knife and demanded money while she was out walking near Lincoln Avenue and Penny Lane. The suspect left when the woman told him she did not have any money. An 86-year-old man also reported being approached by a black male with a handgun while he was out walking on Whitethorn Avenue. The suspect struck the victim in the face when he told the suspect he didn’t have any money. Both victims said the suspect left in a small green car.

At 8:30 am, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call in the parking lot 2225 Plaza Parkway. A 63-year-old female reported she was walking from her car in the parking lot to business when a black male stopped in a small green car. The man approached her with a handgun. The suspect hit the woman in the face and took her purse. The suspect fled in the green car.

All the victims described the suspect as a black male, in his 20’s, wearing a white shirt and black pants. The victims said the suspect had braids or cornrows that were bunched together in the back. The suspect vehicle was described as a small green car.
