South Whitehall Twp Police are investigating several complaints of suspicious activity and phone calls in the area.

Several complaints have been received regarding door-to-door solicitations for work. One actor draws the homeowner to the outside rear of the property, while another attempts to gain entry to the home. Actors have been described as a white male, 20-35, 6' tall, approximately 200 lbs, and an hispanic male, twenties, 5'6", approximately 160 lbs. Actors have been seen operating a large SUV-type vehicle, possibly a black Cadillac Escalade. Residents are urged to contact South Whitehall Police at 610-437-5252 immediately if approached in this manner.

Reports of suspicious phone calls have been received by police. A young male calls, purporting to be the resident's grandson, and asks to have money wired to him for bail money. Residents are advised to not wire money to individuals unless their identity can be absolutely confirmed. Residents receiving this type of call should contact South Whitehall Township Police at 610-437-5252.
