At 1252 hours a gang disturbance call at the Courthouse was received. While units responded to check the area a shooting occurred at 1256 hours on Liberty Street south of Capitol Avenue. IVT gang members in a black Honda shot approximately six shots towards a silver Toyota occupied by Norteno gang members. Both parties fled the scene. The victims were located a short time later after dumping their vehicle. No one was injured. The suspects fled to San Leandro where they were located in a restaurant at the Marina Fair shopping center. Four suspects were arrested. The gun was not located.

This afternoon at 1620hrs, a subject reported being the victim of a brandishing in the parking lot of the Diamond Palace, located at Peralta & Maple. The "suspect" a male, 50 yrs, armed with a handgun allegedly fled into the Diamond Palace. The buildings (Diamond Palace & Tree of Life Church) were surrounded and the occupants called out. A total of approx. 8 people were evacuated. Sgt. Epps led the search team to clear both buildings. No such suspect was located. Both businesses evacuated for approx 1.5 hrs. The "victim" was arrested for being under the influence of drugs.
