2 Police Blotter items (PB): 2 robberies
08/26/10 11:20AM: Officers responded to Patelco Credit Union, 5166 Mowry Ave., on a report of robbery that just occurred. The suspect, described as a black male adult, 6’02”, wearing a black motorcycle helmet, and armed with a handgun, entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect fled the bank on a silver motorcycle. During a check of the area, Officer Boyd located a possible suspect on northbound Highway 880, near Tennyson. Officer Boyd attempted to stop the vehicle and a short pursuit ensued; however, due to traffic conditions, the suspect was able to evade and the pursuit was terminated. Officer Boyd was able to get a license plate and eventually contacted the male at his home on Ravensbourne Park. It turns out the subject was not related to the robbery and the bank robbery suspect is still outstanding.
While investigating this robbery, a strong-armed robbery occurred at 39435 Fremont Blvd. The suspect, a white male adult, 40 to 50 years old, assaulted the victim took $25 from the register after he was unsatisfied with a hair cut and the victim refused to refund his money.
