Peabody has discontinued any connections with MWRA water distribution system. No issues with Peabody water re break. 
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PEABODY WATER SUPPLY
As of approximately 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2010, due to a developing water issue with MWRA, the City of Peabody has discontinued any connections with the MWRA water distribution system.
The source of the water leak in the MWRA Water distribution system is being investigated. Consequently the City of Peabody took the necessary precautions to isolate and eliminate any need for Peabody residences or businesses to have concerns or take precautions with regard to water consumption.
Please be advised that with the exception of the voluntary water conservation measures currently in effect no further concerns or restrictions should be necessary. The City of Peabody will continue to monitor this situation with the MWRA which may affect other communities within the MWRA water distribution system.
