Synopsis:
A 49 year old male was riding his bicycle W/B on Clairemont Mesa Bl approaching I-805. A 35 year old male was driving his car W/B on Clairemont Mesa Blvd also approaching I-805. The driver of the car did not see the bicyclist due to the sun in his eyes. He turned into the Bicyclist’s lane and struck him. The bicyclist went over the hood of the car. He sustained significant head, facial and pelvic injuries. He was taken to a local trauma center for treatment. Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
