Mayor Chris Bollwage announces the first City of Elizabeth Restaurant Week taking place October 26th through November 1st. The seven day culinary event will begin with the Rotary Club of Elizabeth’s The Taste of Elizabeth and Beyond, on Monday, October 26th from 5PM to 8:30PM at the Hilton Newark Airport Hotel, 1170 Spring Street, Elizabeth.
Restaurant Week in Elizabeth offers patrons the opportunity to visit over 30 of the City's best restaurants and enjoy a three-course dinner for $20, $30 or $40 per person, depending on the restaurant.

A new website, www.dineelizabethnj.com, has been developed with information regarding The Taste of Elizabeth and Beyond and Restaurant Week in Elizabeth. Visitors to the site can find the names and prix-fixe menus of all participating restaurants. In addition, the site allows you to purchase ads and tickets to the kick-off event.

Event organizers include: City Hall of Elizabeth, Elizabeth Development Company, Rotary Club of Elizabeth, Historic Midtown Elizabeth Special Improvement District, Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce, Greater Newark Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Elizabeth Avenue Partnership.
