To Our Subscribers: Normally, we do not send out this many emails at one time, but we feel it is important to once again, get this alert out on the vehicle burglaries happening in Tustin. Please read further for the information.




This is a reminder to lock up your vehicles and keep the interior of your vehicles clear of any valuables. We are particularly being hit hard by vehicle burglaries recently along Nisson (between Red Hill and Browning), the Nisson/Pasadena area, the dead end of Newport, and at residences near The Marketplace.


Some recommendations to consider in order to reduce your chances of becoming a victim:
1. Please lock up your doors and windows.
2. Please do not leave any valuables inside your vehicle. Items such as purses, wallets, checkbooks, credit cards, jewelry, palm pilots, briefcases, portable GPS/navigation systems, computers, cell phones, keys, etc. If you have a GPS holder, please hide it so that the criminal does not look for your GPS. If the interior of your vehicle is kept clear, there is less reason for a thief to break into your vehicle.
3. Please remember to keep the three main Neighborhood Watch principles in mind:
A. Awareness,
B. Knowing your neighbors,
C. and when you see someone or something suspicious to please call it in immediately and as accurately as you can.
4. If you wake up during the night, please look out your windows for any suspicious activity due to the fact these vehicle burglaries very possibly occurred during those hours. If you do see anything suspicious, call the police immediately.
