Santa Paula Canyon "Punch Bowls" helicopter rescue video now posted on YouTube and Sheriff's website. www.vcsd.org 
On August 7, 2010 at about 6:15 PM a Ventura County (CA) Sheriff's Department helicopter responded to a call of an injured 39 year old man in the area known as Punch Bowls in the Santa Paul Canyon, near Santa Paula, CA. Because of the remoteness of the victim's location, two rescue crew members were hoisted down the narrow canyon along with a stokes basket to retrieve the man. The victim, who had fallen about 25 feet, suffered traumatic injuries and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.
