ABNORMALLY CHILLY AIR IN PLACE OVER THE NORTHEASTERN UNITED STATES
COULD CREATE AN EARLY SEASON SNOWFALL THURSDAY INTO EARLY

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH
FRIDAY MORNING.

A DEVELOPING STORM SLIDING UP THE EASTERN SEABOARD WILL BRING
RAIN AND SNOW TO THE REGION. THE PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN
THURSDAY MORNING AS PRIMARILY RAIN...THEN BECOME A MIX OF RAIN AND
SNOW IN LOWER ELEVATIONS. IN HIGHER ELEVATIONS...THE PRECIPITATION
WILL FALL AS PRIMARILY SNOW LATER THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.
THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERAL INCHES OF HEAVY...WET SNOW TO
FALL MAINLY IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

IF SEVERAL INCHES OF HEAVY...WET SNOW ACCUMULATE ON TREES STILL
CONTAINING THEIR LEAVES...THE POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT TREE
DAMAGE AND DAMAGE TO POWER LINES WILL INCREASE.
